TC-1 tinning compound is used directly from the can, applied with either a brush, rag or by shaking onto the job. Simply heat the surface, apply, rub in with steel wool in a circular motion until the tin appears, then wipe off. Or, add water to desired consistency, apply with rag or brush, heat with torch and rub with steel wool until tin appears, then wipe off.
